Software process improvement has become a critical issue within NASA.  At Goddard Space Flight Center, software is developed that flies on satellites, stays on the ground, runs instruments,  manages databases and data.  Some software is mission and/or safety critical.  This presentation will discuss our approach to implementing CMMISM at GSFC.  We have only begun the task, but already are developing lessons learned which any company, large or small, might benefit from.
