Booth Title: Advantage Development
Booth Number: 437 |
DESCRIPTION: Advantage Development, Inc., (ADI) is a small business with offices in Cleveland, OH and Austin, TX. ADI is engaged in architectures and interoperability. ADI is working on the Defense Architecture Repository System (DARS) team and is applying the Cache tool from Intersystems in building the API to the Popkin System Architect tool. ADI is also a value added reseller of the EDS PLM Solutions SLATE tool and is supporting this tool for the deployment of an architecture framework aligned JICEE Program at U.S. PACOM. Similar deployments and alignment are underway at other combatant commands and service components through the SPAWAR CIPO. ADI is also engaged in technology insertion for four emerging technologies in support of interoperability; OmniPortTM, optical connector/backplanes, optical lensing, and object-oriented databases. OmniPortTM is the application of reconfigurable logic (FPGAs) to the sensing and on-the-fly or dynamic reconfiguration of the circuits that implement yesterday, today, and tomorrow's communications protocols, compression algorithms and encryption in stand-alone and mixed taxonomies. This capability provides secure, agile, and interoperable communications. Optical connector/backplane is being implemented using diffractive and holographic optics providing no loss, high reliability, optical connections from fiber-to-fiber, fiber-to-board, and board-to-board. This same technology can be applied in free space optical communications to provide very high bandwidth tactical and strategic solutions. Optical Lensing is being implemented using optical elements that provide one wavelength separation between optical channels with 10E-15 bit error rates, i.e., no crosstalk. This solution combined with our connector technology delivers high density optical solutions to provide very high bandwidth environments, i.e., >100+ Gbps. Object-oriented database provide unique solutions in two unique areas: first, rapid prototyping and delivery of fused solutions of legacy and mixed data sets, and second, high transaction rate processing. ADI is applying this technology in the DARS API initiative. |
