| Vulnerabilities from unpatched or misconfigured software account for almost all Internet security breaches. The number of reported vulnerabilities is growing exponentially. Although patch management is recognized as a "must do" activity, there is surprisingly little written in the literature about how to structure an effective process. This presentation presents Software Productivity Consortium's results from pilot projects with member companies to apply the Plan/Do/Check/Act cycle to security patch management. | |
