Information Technology Portfolio Management

Wednesday
Presentation

Many information technology (IT) organizations face similar daunting challenges: tight financial resources, limited human resources, multiple stakeholders, highly dynamic and reactionary stakeholder objectives, multiple venders, incompatible technologies and systems, rapidly evolving technologies, and rapidly aging capabilities. From a positive perspective, however, all of this translates into excellent opportunities in a target-rich environment. The challenge is to properly discover, identify, assess, predict, prioritize, fund, plan and manage an ongoing variety of multiple parallel IT projects. This presentation explains how to use a portfolio-based approach to ensure that you are focusing on essential and high-priority projects, and are achieving maximum return on investment from your IT related personnel, tools, processes, and resources. This presentation is of potential value to anyone responsible for, or anyone who might have input into, IT project identification, selection, and management.
