| From Operation Noble Eagle in 2001 to Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003, and the continued Iraq Post-War C4 requirements, Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) continues its support on the global war on terrorism. Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom were opportunities to put new warfighting capabilities into action and to allow DISA to demonstrate many “first” successes. Our principal transformational focus is embodied in our stated vision, mission, and value system. Because of our transformation strategy, we have recognized new opportunities in the areas of acquisition, engineering, and operations. Our challenge is predicated on expectations of information on demand to help us balance between current warfighting operations and our transformational net centric initiatives. DISA’s contribution to the Department of Defense's (DoD) goal of net centricity comes from acquisition, delivery, and ability to enable ends-to-ends information interoperability across, among and between Joint Command and Control (JC2) and Combat Support functions. | |
