She told Lanarkshire Live: “Due to the booming property market at the moment, we have decided to give something back.

“The idea came during a team meeting, the seven employees of our Cambuslang and Motherwell offices agreed.

“We plan to donate a certain amount of our selling fees for each sale that ends this year, as well as planning other events and challenges.”

A charity ball is due to take place on Friday October 7 at Dalziel Park in Motherwell and the office is currently selling tickets to individuals as well as businesses, who can also purchase tables at the ball.

In the evening, there will be an auction and a raffle with the aim of raising as much money as possible for the Beatsons.

Lesley Martin, Senior Property Negotiator at Hemmings, added: “We plan to raise £22,000 for 2022 and if we can do that that would be a fantastic achievement.

“The ball at Parc Dalziel will be an opportunity for us to raise a huge amount of money for the charity and I’m sure we can.”

A Beatson Cancer Charity spokesperson told us: “We are very grateful that Hemmings Homes is donating a percentage of every home sold in 2022 to our charity.

“This is an incredible contribution, which will help us support cancer patients and their families throughout their cancer journey.

“Not only does the company support us by selling houses, but also by organizing several fundraising activities.

“We can’t thank them enough.”
