She told us, “Due to the booming real estate market right now, we decided to give something back.

“The idea came during a team meeting, the seven employees of our Cambuslang and Motherwell offices agreed.

“We plan to raise £22,000 for 2022 for the charity.

“We plan to donate a certain amount of our selling fees for each sale that ends this year, as well as planning other events and challenges. We plan to do one of the kilt walks in the summer as well as a team hike in Tinto.

“We have also booked a charity ball for October and hope to raise as much money as possible through raffles and auctions.”

The charity auction is scheduled for Friday, October 7, and the office is currently selling tickets to individuals as well as businesses, who can also purchase tables at the ball.

The spokeswoman added: ‘We’ve just been so busy because of the way the property market is.

“We discussed a few charities, but we chose the Beatson because everyone knew it.

“Right now in the housing market, it’s all about closing dates and offers on real estate reports.

“This is the very first year we’ve been doing this and hopefully we can achieve our goal. We’ve also talked about creating a Go Fund Me page.”

A Beatson Cancer Charity spokesperson told us: “We are very grateful that Hemmings Homes is donating a percentage of every home sold in 2022 to our charity.

“This is an incredible contribution, which will help us support cancer patients and their families throughout their cancer journey.

“Not only does the company support us by selling houses, but also by organizing several fundraising activities. We can’t thank them enough.”
