Nedbank Namibia held an awards ceremony on Thursday 08 September for real estate agents and agencies who performed well in 2021. The awards ceremony took place at the Nedbank Campus Sky Garden, where the agents received certificates and cash certificates for their exceptional performance.
Nedbank Namibia Head of Mortgage Loans, Riaan Keulder, welcomed guests to the awards ceremony, and started the evening with a brief reflection on the year 2021 from our clients and stakeholders. We are here tonight to celebrate the flawless business we received in 2021 and to recognize the agents and agencies responsible for helping us achieve our goals,” said Keulder.
Nedbank Namibia’s Chief Financial Officer, JG van Graan, who gave the official speech at the event, highlighted the importance of real estate agents in society. “Every time you assist clients, you help them realize their dream of becoming homeowners. Seeing how you go above and beyond to provide financial advice throughout the buying and selling process shows how much you resonate with Nedbank’s aim to be money experts who do good.
“From Nedbank’s perspective, we are proud to say that we have financed N$11 billion in loans to local residential property and key projects in the country. Of the N$11 billion, N$5 billion is in the mortgage division. We want to continue our commitment to play a central role in supporting the growth of our home lending division,” van Graan said.
The awards ceremony honored agents and agencies in categories such as “Agents Accumulating Business Exceeding N$3 Million, Estate Agent of the Year and Estate Agency of the Year. Anita Dames, Cathy Kruger, Claudia Lofty Eaton, Gretha dos Santos, Helvi Megameno, Lionel McPherson, Lona van Wyk, Louisa Schurz, Lourette Liebenberg, Lucas Boshoff, Lusia Hango, Lydia Kazimbu, Marion Wolf, Star Nghiyolwa, Stefanie Dames, Stefanus Somseb , and Tanya Kuhn; received certificates for entering into home loan agreements exceeding N$3 million.
Rightmove Properties’ Marion Wolf won the 2021 Estate Agent of the Year category and received prizes which include an advertising package worth N$20,000 and a petrol voucher worth N$10,000 . The first runner-up in the same category was Lourette Liebenberg of Rightmove Properties, who walked away with an advertising package worth N$15,000 and a N$7,000 petrol voucher. In third place was Lusia Hango of Catalea Properties, who walked away with an advertising package worth N$10,000 and a petrol voucher worth N$5,000. .
Rightmove Properties received the 2021 Agency of the Year award and walked away with a N$50,000 advertising package.
