A Norwich-born man has started his own estate agency at NR3 after more than a decade in the industry.
Ben Allman, Director of Ben Allman Estate and Letting Agents, wants to showcase the best of the ‘trendy’ NR3 postcode while giving customers a more personal experience.
Mr. Allman, 29, went to Sprowston High School and still lives in the area with his partner and their son.

He said: “NR3 has become as desirable and as good as the Golden Triangle. You can get the same types of properties but for £50,000 less.
“I think the area is only going to get more fashionable, especially if plans for Anglia Square go ahead, so there’s more on that side of town.
“People buying in the area now will hopefully see their property values increase.”

He said: “I’ve been an estate agent for 11 years. Most recently I was the manager of a business across town.
“But I wanted something of my own, something that was only mine.
“And I realized that there will always be something that will stop me from going.
“It was now or never really but I didn’t hesitate.”

Starting his own agency has always been a goal of Mr. Allman, he said: “Seeing the boards is the best.
“Being able to walk past places and see the branding is exciting.
“And I tried to go for a really cheerful color palette, so hopefully that’s uplifting.”
Mr Allman’s currently one-man group aims to offer a different kind of service to larger agents, saying: ‘I know at the big chains you often don’t talk to the same person when you call , then I would like to offer more personal experience.

“That’s why the company bears my name. I want to be responsible for the service I provide.
“No matter how small, I’m responsible for every client.”
Ben Allman Estate and Letting Agents is open at 2 Sprowston Road in NR3 from 8.45am to 5.30pm Monday to Saturday.
